About CI
How it started
Born not only to create value, but to be an indispensable set of tools.
Codex Ipsum was established by Peitsa Rautio, a Finnish industry professional, due to an ever rising issue of workplaces suffering from employee related challenges. The implication behind this is that root causes behind these issues are not detected and therefore cannot be acted upon; consequently, job dissatisfaction, employee turnover and psychological and physical health challenges are apparent. This is problematic not only from a management perspective but also by having a high societal impact.
A fundamental concern seemed to be that progress was hardly being made due to neglect or management simply not knowing what to do. Suitable methods to measure employee service effectiveness are lacking and employee service providers may have low follow-up responsibility for their work, so a great challenge lies in directing investments in employees.
Solving this set of problems is not a simple task. A dash of creativity and a suitable mix of psychology and engineering was essential to identify the factors underlying the challenge and to lay the groundwork for effective solutions. As the final defining piece of the whole, the foundational statistical methods seamlessly interconnect with business data, so business analytics emerge to have a major service value role. The parent company Pro Rautio Oy and its trademark Codex Ipsum were thus laid down in May 2022.
